Applications are available twice a school year, once in the Fall and again in the Spring. The Fall application typically opens in September and the Spring application in February. Applications are now open for the Spring 2024 cohort. The deadline to submit the National Achiever’s Society application is Friday, April 19th by 5:00 PM. The Induction Ceremony for new National Achievers is held in April at FIU’s South Campus. Once students are inducted parents are expected to be active members of The Miami Achievers Parents Association (TMAPA).

To apply, students must:

  • Be enrolled in a Miami-Dade County school
  • Be in the 4th– 10th grade
  • Meet the academic requirement of having at least (2) A grades and the rest B grades for the last three (3) consecutive grading periods.
  • Have no grades below a B in conduct.
  • Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA with no grade lower than a C, except in one (1) honor, gifted, or advanced placement class only (High School Students Only)
  • Be a positive role model for other students
  • Be active in the community
