Student Support Services

Program provides opportunities for academic development, assistance with basic college requirements, and motivates students toward the successful completion of their bachelor degree. The goal of SSSP is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants. SSSP also may provide grant aid to current participants who are receiving Federal Pell Grant.

  • Opportunity to attend Conferences
  • Financial stipend to students who meet participation and other eligibility requirements.

Student Support Services is a federal TRiO program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. The Federal TRiO Programs are Federal outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. FIU also hosts the following TRiO programs: Ronald E. McNair Post-baccalaureate Achievement, Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound, and Upward Bound Math-Science.
