The FIU Talent Search Program has an ongoing application and selection process. Priority consideration is given to students who meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Attend one of the following target schools:
- John F. Kennedy Middle School
- North Dade Middle School
- Norland Middle School
- North Miami Middle School
- Miami Central Senior High School
- North Miami Beach Senior High School
- North Miami Senior High School
- Be a first-generation college student and/or meet federal income eligibility guidelines. (click here for criteria)
- Be a US citizen or permanent resident
- Enrolled in 6th – 12th grade
- Between the ages of 11 – 27
- Demonstrate academic potential and a commitment to pursuing postsecondary education.
How to Apply
Applying to the FIU Talent Search Program is simple.
Step 1: Complete the online application. Applications are accepted year-round. Once your application is submitted, a Talent Search staff member will review it and contact you regarding the next steps in the enrollment process.
Step 2: Complete any additional required forms. If additional documentation is needed, please visit the Important Forms section of our website.
Step 3: Once accepted into the Talent Search Program, you are eligible to participate in a variety of program activities, including:
- Saturday Academy sessions
- College and cultural field trips
- Tutoring and academic support
- Summer Bootcamp
Our Saturday Academy schedule for the Fall and Spring semesters is shared through our monthly newsletter, and no additional application is required to participate.
Summer Bootcamp has limited enrollment and requires a separate application, which can be found under the Summer Bootcamp Application section.
