SUMMER PROGRAMS

CROP SUMMER MIDDLE SCHOOL

This four (4) week non-residential program offers summer classes in mathematics and English joined around a common theme and taught by Miami-Dade County Public School teachers. A third course, Path to College, will engage students in personal, career, and academic research and exploration. Rising 7th – 9th grade CROP students are encouraged to apply for 30 spots in this summer program.

CROP SWITCH-ON MATH & SCIENCE

The CROP Switch-On Math & Science program is a 12 day residential academic enrichment program for rising 10th and 11th graders that seeks to supplement academic skills and provide early exposure to the university environment, while preparing students for advanced placement courses. Courses, which include mathematics, biology and chemistry are aligned with the Sunshine State Standards. The curriculum is intense, so in order to facilitate individualized instruction, only 25 to 30 students will be selected.

Program activities build students’ research skills, provide career exploration, encourage personal goal development, and prepare students for the college application process.

Note: CROP students may also apply for admission to our Partners In Progress (PIP) summer programs. Click here for more information.
